Mall Caper

Another Funny 'Cause It's True Esme Goodrow strip. Don't you just love it when strangers come up to you in the mall and make snide comments about your clothes and where you buy them? Especially if they are so-called " underground" or "hip" and sneer at you because you happen to have meekly walked into a Hot Topic once and maybe bought the coolest cape ever with a gift certificate that was almost expired?

Me neither. Anyone who ever feels fashionably superior, EVER, should burn in hell.

By the way, I am completely proud of the backgrounds for the panels in these strips (they look almost exactly like the storefronts at local Francis Scott Key Mall), but unfortunately the scan was oddly terrible so you can't see them. I intentionally made them pretty light so they wouldn't distract from the dialogue, but now I wish I had attacked them with a pen or something so people could actually see the stores.

Finally. Mall Monkeys is a funny but tasteless comic at [link]. The Hot Topic gag is a recurring one there.
